hiphop2009 SG with regards to recent flood in msia, i wonder wad will happen to msia government's plan to make johor economic competitive to singapore...... will investor's confidence drop? i am not talking bad abt msia, but i juz need more views from different pple discuss.... =)
Meat Pao SG That flood is not permanent right? If Im not wrong, this is related to El-Nino, which also cause many disruptions in other countries, and it happens once every 5 years. Meat Pao.
hiphop2009 SG no of course not permanent but if such things happens and u see the govt's lack of abilities n plan to deal with this prob, wad will the investors think?
Hogzilla SG Last time El Nino is in the late 1990s. So, I think they would make serious consideration of the flooding and make precautions. Of course, dun think others are stupid, then they are really stupid.
beavan SG depends on where they want to invest their money. however, with the money injected, the companies probably can choose a ground that won’t get flooded.
Hogzilla SG I found the article liao. It write there the last El Nino happened in 2002-2003. But when I was in army, feel quite normal leh. No too hot nor too cold.
TXian SG At the end of 2007, we are all going to experience worse rain storms than what we are experiencing now…good luck…They better do something, and FAST..
Darkness_hacker99 SG After this and next year, the weather will become very very dry.. This is known as the La Nina. Usually after the El Nino Phenomenon, La Nina will followed up. La Nina is the period where it's extremely dry and warm. The worst it can affect Globally is: El Nino --> Fast bush grown.. La Nina --> Hot, warm, dry. The bush will get fire and get burned. This cause haze.. Not only this, forest may be in the harms way. To summarize, El Nino + La Nina = Global catastrophe
shane123 SG still worth investing imo…... u take the map of johor and mark out the places which have flash floods…...and u can see the govt has already thot it out…they r developing the iskandar regions….shldn’t be affected too much by floods…... u investing there?
dragg SG i dont understand. the whole of johor cant be flooded right? so where are the populated areas flooded?
TXian SG Is the world really coming to an end soon?? Based on the recent news articles, I think there might still be hope for investors in Johor...
hiphop2009 SG nah...i am juz wondering.....it is not juz an issue in msia but to those singaporeans who hav relatives in msia, dey are probably worried too...
