havin troubles choosin bewteen super or turbocharge engine?

New versions of the Golf have made its debut: The GT, which will go on sale at the end of the year (Europe), features Volkswagen's new Twincharger technology - a combined turbocharger/supercharger system - with its four-cylinder 1.4 direct-injection petrol engine to deliver 170bhp. Though the "TSI" engine's small, it can deliver acceleration 0-60mph in just 7.9 seconds.The GTs will, says VW, "be launched with their own individual styling and equipment", which means a sort of junior-GTI or GTI-lookalike specification.

Is twincharging even effective? I personally have some doubts(cos i've never seen one in action) But 170bhp is damn attractive for a 1.4 Very Happy

Of course it is effective, look at the delta lancia intergrale or HF, can't remember which. Very Happy
100km/h in 2.3 seconds, faster than a yamaha R1 which clocks 3.2 .
