There was a fashion house by the name of East India Company in the 1990s till 1994... It sold authentic design from India, something very similiar to British India...

When British India was formed and established, it opened an outlet whenever there's a East India Company outlet....

In 1995, East India Company wound up its last outlet at Clarke Quay and moved its operations to Malaysia... Ever since, British India has taken over the authentic British Indian designs as its main stream fashion...
