one of the reasons we bought it was cause we plan to rent out
the basement and 3rd floor (there's an exterior staircase where it
can be accessed). Even when buying a house for yourself, look for
properties that have potential for renting out part of it.
we spent around 100 000 CAD on reno, i think. but it's only
because we did the work ourselves. labour is always going to be 2/3
of your cost. There were a few very expensive rooms. one being the
kitchen and the other being my bathroom. but just all the little
work like stripping paint and stuff, you save a lot if you just do
it yourself.
hmm i don't want to talk money too much. but for what we
paid/spent on it, we probably would make 300 000 off it. It's hard
to tell right now cause we're not done and it has yet to be
evaluated.
actually if u have money its fun to do this kind of business
huh...i mean buy those very old, cheap place..renovate it..and sell
it for a bomb
