The debate on HZBL vs Israel is hot everywhere, however, it seems theres very limited information regarding the rocket arsenal that poured into Israel. So far we know Fajir 5/3 are the types used by the guerrillas :

Fajr-5

The Fajr-5 is an artillery rocket developed by Iran in early 2006. The system is part of the Fajr family of rockets.

Iran's Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO) has developed an upgraded version of the well-established Fadjr-5 333 mm (4-round) unguided surface-to-surface artillery rocket system (ARS).

The latest production of the Fadjr-5 is installed on a new Mercedes-Benz 6 x 6 forward control chassis and the platform is now integrated into a complete weapon system rather than an individual launcher. To provide a more stable firing platform four hydraulically operated stabilisers are lowered to the ground before firing.

The new chassis has improved cross-country mobility and the forward control fully enclosed cab provides space for the driver and two passengers. Another fully enclosed cabin to the immediate rear of the cab houses the remainder of the crew. The new Mercedes-Benz chassis is similar to that manufactured in China, which is used as the basis for the Norinco (China North Industries Corporation) 122 mm (40-round) Type 90 ARS.

While the primary role of this artillery rocket system is the engagement of land targets, AIO says that a radar can be added to give the system the capability to track and engage naval targets. The Fajr-5 missile, which is launched from a mobile platform, reportedly has a range of between 75 kilometers, or 50 miles.

Israeli media claimed Iran supplied a number of these rockets to Hezbollah forces in Lebanon in 2006 1.

During the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict it is suspected that Hezbollah militants fired Fajr-5 rockets deeper into Israel than in past conflicts. So far the strikes targetted the city of Afula yet failed to hit it. The attack attained the longest range of its kind from the lebanese border to date

Hizbullah Receives Iranian Advanced Rocket

(IsraelNN.com) Hizbullah terrorists in Lebanon have received an advanced Iranian rocket, according to Israeli sources quoted by Middle East Newsline. The weapon is the most advanced in Hizbullah's possession and can reach Israel's major cities.

The solid fuel missile is believed to be an advanced version of the Fajr-5 and can reach more than 200 kilometers (124 miles).

It seems they only need to accuse and it becomes true.. I smell a False flag operation coming up.

Fajr-5 is 10 meters long and has a range of 75km.. and suddenly they can reach 200km thus qualfied as a SLBM. The new missle must be huge.

Perhaps, too many people in other forums are discussing about how a 20km rockets could reach Haifa which is 35 km away... and how hundreds of truck-mounted Fajr-3 could be launched without regards into Haifa.

These are Anti-aircraft guns, a defensive weapons, where do think they should be. In all wars, AA guns are always stationed somewhere around and within areas they want to protect.

BTW, since only Fajr-3 and Fajr-5 could reach as far as Haifa.. do any one has any photos of Rocket debris in Haifa's attacks ... apart from those Pot-holes being circulated around that does not exactly correspond with rocket with 45kg warhead.

Notice that this report .. while stating that most of the rockets are short range and have small warheads was hitting northern Israeli's Town .. but does not mention what rockets were used to attck Haifa ??

Even the small rockets debris was shown in the report, but what about the debris in haifa, and how explain those small pot-holes.. where are the rocket debris... since only at least a Fajr-3 can reach.

BTW, Zelzal-2 cannot be 8m long, since the Fajr-5 with a range of 75km is already about 10m long.

BTW, do you have any pics of Haifa being hit with Fajr-3 ? Since Kat rockets have rocket hitting Kiryat have debris, surely a Fajr-3, which is larger, would produce a bigger hole and larger rocket pcs lying around.

You have to admit. The Hezbollah are there in Lebanon not to defend the Lebanese people from Israeli attacks. They are using Lebanon as a launch base for the attacks, and using the Lebanese civilians as meat shields from Israeli attacks. Hezbollah began as a resistance group to fight the Israeli invasion back in 1982. Back then, it composed of a large spectrum of fighters, including some Christian Lebanese. But now, it has decomposed and largely swayed by Islamic Militants.

The Hezbollah needs to be dealt with, but not by engaging them in the battlefields of Lebanon. In order to kill Hezbollah, u need to cut their funding and support by destroying their masters in Iran and Syria. Fighting them in Lebanon would only serve them by inciting others to join their cause.

If there is anything would bring the doom of the Middle Eastern countries, its these extremist groups. If the Arab league does not deal with them forcefully soon, there will be greater sh!t storms than this and in greater magnitude in time to come.

Of course, just like Israel pounding lebanese with 12X that.. But isn't my curiosity reasonable... the few photos of rocket attacks at Haifa are just small pot holes without debris and the damage does not corresponds to the big warhead that Fajr-3 has.

why all photos of rockets attacks on nothern towns has debris and Haifa don't.

No... they got this old US-made TOWs from the SLA, which Israel supplied. The old Konnet is also doing great damage to the invincible Merkava Tanks.

Only thing I'm waiting for is when are they going to use their Igla's....
