Found out some problems after spraying my bRAKES!!!

i need help from u guys here,just today,i sprayed my brakes red.As per usual, i will cover my disc brakes.But after spraying,i found out my brakes are not working well.

It's the same feeling,when u off your engine,and keep tapping on the brake,u will feel the brake very hard,but i also checked my fluid,everything is fine.

Anyone knows wat happen?

this kind of thing, doesn't help performance, somemore require some mechanical disassembly hor, no point doing right? Its all show and no go only, and when u do anything to the brakes u run the risk of having a fault because it hasn't been re-installed properly. Hope that u've learnt from this that silly things like that which has no real purpose, dun do. Save money n save trouble.

Thanks.But do u guys know wat actually has fault? I sprayed my brakes because i looks cool,but didn't know it turned out this way.

i do also understand that spraying brakes are risky,not do anything better,hence is just showing off.

But from this incident,i will learn a lesson.

My guess is that even though you covered the disc part, some of the paint mist is sure to get into the gap between the disc and brake pads. Think both surfaces kanna some paint already.

did u spray when it when u juz finish drivin ??? if u did den sorry!! after u stop n of use ur brakes, so when ur brakes r hot, u spray water n cooled them too quickly n unevenly causin them too warp n they r no longer flat now!!

But i did checked my brake disc,they are ok,not paint on it at all.And if the pads contain paint,the disc will also slightly have it.But problem is the disc is alright!

Ya,i sprayed it after cooling down for 10mins.But brakes are still pretty hot.

Does it means my brakes has already spoiled?

aiyiyiyiyi. Ok imagine this, if the road you were driving along was not flat, how would the ride in your car be? Yeah, now imagine how your brake calipers feel.

Even if u kena on your discs, after a few brakes it should be gone.

I doubt it so easily warped too, otherwise if you running hot brakes then sudden downpour, a lot of cars would have wonky brakes.

Maybe your paint stuck or jam up the brake pistons and interfere with the clamping force.. not too sure, just a wild guess... I'm not even sure if the paint can reach there.

your brake calipers are mechanically machined to a fine tolerance. A layer of paint will probably add a layer a few microns thick. Basically u’ve just thrown off the tolerance and alignment of your caliper. Its no wonder they don’t work well anymore because they dun fit together so good anymore! High performance brakes have caliper COVERS which are coloured. The colour doesn’t go onto the calipers themselves! Its amazing what technical facts people will overlook in the pursuit of aftermarket mods which have no use at all.

dont change ur brakes. so much effort goes into colouring them. i would say keep ur brakes and change ur car. so wont waste ur hard effort. good luck in tryin to become a nissan SUNLINE.

try scratching the paint off the parts which r close to other parts on the calipers. worse come to worse change the caliper. the disc should be ok.
