The Japanese version of the F-16 called F-2 is a special
variant. It is diffrent to the F-16 in quite a few ways.
Some differences in the F-2 from the F-16:
-a 25% larger wing area
-composite materials used to reduce overall weight and to reduce
radar signature
-longer nose to accommodate a phased-array radar
-larger tailplane
-two-piece cockpit canopy
-capabilities for four ASM-1 or ASM-2 anti-ship missiles, four
AAMs, and additional fuel tanks

Japan is a technologically advance nation. The F-2 is also more
expensive as compared to the F-16, this may indicate that it have
some special features. So if we are to pit our F-16 against theirs,
plane to plane, who will have the advantage?
