Personally, I feel that the Renault Megane is probably the best
1.6l sedan one can buy in the Singapore market if you can afford
it.
It's safety features and equipment level is very high especially
when compared to Japanese competitors while I understand
(surprisingly!) that it's fuel economy and performance also ranks
up there with the rest.
I should know cos I accompanied my friend to buy one! Look for
Eddie at the Bt Timah showroom and say Desmond recommended you.
