Sheares have been selling those oakleys for quite a while
already. Saw it on their shelves for a long time alr.
Strange thing, why would SAF go through sheares if its an official
purchase. They would usually got straight to the supplier don't u
think?
Personally, i wouldnt go for the Oakleys. 2 reason. Most of their
M-Frames don't look too good on asian faces. (LOOKS WISE)
2nd reason, they are not combat proven. First of all, some might
want, "wat heck, sunglasses? wad combat proven?" If u want to wear
a pair of sunglasses, it shud do 2 things, protect ur eyes from UV
rays, and prevent ur eyes from taking physical damage. For that, i
haven't read of any "acclaims" for oakley's products, so someone
correct me if im wrong.
Instead, recently, I went for the ESS ICE 2.4 system instead. FIrst
of all, its a hell lot cheaper. 2nd, its GOOD, real polycarbonate
lenses. US Army units have already been issued ESS products in
Iraq, and many of them have written back to commend ESS on their
products that save their vision when IEDs blew up in their faces,
chamber explosions etc. Because the US Army has already included it
as standard issue, all their products already have NSN numbers. IF
SAF was to make such a purchase, i would think they would go for
ESS instead, since it would be easily integrated into the current
logistic system.
black_ops7, u still wanna go for oakleys?
