Just a lower end DSLR and ordinary telephoto zoom lens. No pro
equipment, can't afford 'em!
tankee1981, no not working as a photographer or anything, just do
this as a hobby 
The trick is knowing when and where, then its just a matter of
looking for a location to shoot. And pray hard that the weather
cooperates like it did yesterday.
