coldzero SG I have applied for DSA to a particular JC. In seconary school, my subject conbination is as follows: English E Math Combined Science (Physcis and Chem) Combined Humans (History and SS) MT (Chinese) POA Art I've decided to take H1 Econs, H2 Computing, C Math (*edit*) and Physics. Without pure science and A math in my secondary school, I'm still allowed this conbination. Can I have some comments about the combination I hope to take in JC? Will it be damn tough to take H2 Math and Physics without Pure Physcis and A Math?
secretliker SG It would be tougher, but don't think would be damn tough. Those who have pure Science or AMaths have deeper foundation than you. They catch the topic easier. Pay more attention and be more hardworking and you'll see flying colours!
ctstalin SG I didn't take pure physics and chem during sec sch but still can take physics and chem at A lvl.... just need to do a little bit more than those who did pure sci A lvl maths is like an extension of Add math, without prior Add maths knowledge its going to be very very tough for you. You sure u wan take F maths? Dun tink a decent JC will allow it
coldzero SG Then am I recommended to take H2 Math? Cause I'm damn interested in math and it shows in my constant A1 for E Math. However, my school don't allow me to take A math cause i'm in the Art stream. My teacher finds it wasted too that I weren't given a chance to take A math. DAMN school!
peeehead SG I thought if you don't take pure science in secondary school, you can only take physics OR chem OR bio. whichever is applicable.
ctstalin SG tink MUST get A1 den can take but i can get an A1 for combined sci (phys/chem) without revision
ctstalin SG E maths is different from A-maths...maybe u can try appeal if they dun allow u to take F maths i dunno about the H1 H2 H3 or watever cos i'm the last batch of the old syllabus

coldzero SG I'm quite inclined in math. I always top the class for E math and Physcis. That's why I wanna take Math and Physics in JC too. The only setback is that I don't take A math.

SexyChin SG Most jcs do not accept maths c students without a maths. So it depends on what jc you are in first.
