RETARDED_MORON SG Learn from The Master. Belajarlah Bahasa Melayu hari ini dengan tok guru yang sesungguhnya bertauliah, berpengalaman dalam dan berpengetahuan luas ini!
fudgester SG Actually on Google you can find quite a few places offering part-time courses in various languages, including Malay. Here's one I found: http://web.singnet.com.sg/~inlingua/part-time.htm
tankee1981 SG Nope, just for personal interest. The government also encourage us to learn a 3rd language so i think malay is the most practical one as we have malays in Singapore. And we are surrounded by malay speaking countries. Its something which you can use in a daily context as opposed to Japanese and Korean for example.
wiremouse SG i have also been wanting to learn malay but can’t seem to find a place with cert and not too ex… anyone with gd recommedations?
pinkish purple papayas SG Why not learn cantonese? since hongkong and 70million chinese in the world speaks cantonese. if u really wanna learn a new language. Thai seems great too. malay is kinda easy, its a language tht is easily picked up, my sis could speak malay understandably soon, just by communicating basic malay with my house maid...and since only indonesia and malaysia speaks malay i dun think there is much economic value in them, since both of them are poor countries. Besides if u want to take up a malay-centered job, i think the employer would choose a malay that speaks chinese and english rather than a chinese that speaks malay and english. U get my drift? besides i read from somewhere tht 96% of communication comes from non-verbal actions. only 4% are verbal. perhaps learning communication skills would be better than learning 3rd language?
