Besides the N Korean & Soviet Army of using dogs as some form
of 'anti-tank' weapons, I read that the 1st Gulf War of 1979-1988,
the Iranians (due to their religious fanatiicism or some may say
desperation) convinced 'volunteer' youths to strap explosives to
their body and charged under an Iraqi tank. Their sacrifice here
ensures that the doors to an Islamic heaven will be 'opened' (in
fact, all of them carried plastic keys with them).
Actually this human anti-tank bomb is pioneered by the Chinese
during WW2. In their desperation to stop the Japanese tanks they
strapped explosives to their bodies and waiting for the tanks to go
over their trenches then detonate.
I consider them real national heros, it takes real guts and steel
balls to pull this off.
