grandeur SG Do singapore need fighter planes like Harrier which can take off without runway? Can Harrier take off from Singapore RSN's frigates?
Orcishwarrior SG apparently singapore is evaluating the possible future JSF acquistion and btw if singapore need a vectical take off fighter. he would have been procured so its not will it quite obvious singapore doesnt need a fighter like harrier.
duotiga83 SG ppl got the misconception that harrier can take off vertically…IN FACT is SHORT Take off and Vertical Landing…..only F-35 can do vertical take off att he moment ( pioneer by Russia YAK-141 Freestyle)
alwaysdisturbed SG harrier can take off and land vertically...provided dat the load of the aircraft permits... when its fully loaded...it definitely requires a short runway...
duotiga83 SG even is compromise is not really vertical loh...... is in fact there is a design flaw ......that is why X-35 is chosen and not X-32.....X-32 using the same system as harrier concept.....
