True Incident
Someone picked up a EZ Link card and used it on a SMRT trip. He was
later
caught when he was getting out from a SMRT exist gate. Reason
because the
person who bought the EZ card with his NRIC had made a police
report. This
report was referred to SMRT, so when someone use the lost card, the
staff
at the SMRT station will monitor him for a period. The user was
then
emburse by the SMRT staff and the police. He had to either pay a
fine of
$500 or 6 month jail.
No joke. So please take this seriously.
