JEFX '06-- the Joint Expeditionary Force Experiment
2006 and much more
"JEFX '06 provided an ideal opportunity to demonstrate and
assess technology maturity and program progress in real terrain in
a real operational venue," said Dennis Muilenburg, Boeing vice
president-general manager and FCS program manager. "It also
provided a first look at the network-centric capabilities
FCS can bring to the warfighter and joint operations."
2.compare with Exercise Forging Sabre
Effective integrated strike capabilities translate into
enhanced network-centric
operations for the SAF, allowing it to dominate a wider battle
space through a multiplier effect.....
"Network-centricity is a key enabler," emphasised COL Singh (left).
"It is something that is going to enable co-operation at all
levels...
The exercise effectively demonstrated the operational benefits of
closely networked and highly responsive sensor-shooter linkages
across various air and ground-based SAF platforms.
-----Exercise Forging Sabre was a 12-day unilateral exercise
that showcased three core capabilities of the 3G SAF - precision
strike, unmanned warfare, and integrated knowledge command and
control.
Held at the United States Marines Air Ground Task Force Training
Centre (MAGTFTC) in mid-November 2005, the exercise saw SAF
servicemen testing out live-linkages and system integration between
the AH-64D Apache attack helicopters and other components such as
the F-16 fighter jets, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Artillery
and Commandos.
