it doesn't matter. unless u take pride in driving a 800k car which eats dirt from a 200k car with 50k mods (dats like 250k), in the drag and around corners. dat i'd call u nothing more then a poseur. Laughing

there're always practical enthusiasts and impractical ones (and often the ones getting smoked). buying one for the badge by default, makes u the latter.

Go call that to the thousands of real car enthusiasts instead of trying to be one, for which you are failing terribly.A real car enthusiasts never looks down on another car owner or enthusiast.

Try to hang around less with those sarcastic idiots who love to brag about their souped up Civics ( no offence to the Civic owners here, just making an analogy) where only one small component is displayed with such keen pride, to the extent that it drowns their ability to remain objective and humble.

Then you might begin to appreciate the niceties in life.

u apparently think highly of those who can afford a ferrari as "real car enthusiasts". do u think for a moment that NONE of them ever looked down on a lesser car?

ur analogy therefore, is as poor as ur understanding of the subject matter.

first of all, we are not saying ferrari sucks as a car itself. one who yearns 2 own one for the pure sake of brand consciousness makes a sorry excuse of a ferrari owner now wouldn't it?

secondly, nobody is bragging that a tricked out skyline makes a greater car (wat bearing does it have on hanging out with civic owners anyway?). it is a fact that it will out perform a stock ferrari in any given scenario given the fact that it packs far more potential then the ferrari. the same analogy goes for the fact that an army full pack will carry 100 times more equipment and withstand rough handling 100 times longer than a dainty little LV waist pouch which costs 50 times more. is there any fact here that appears misconstrued to u?

before u lecture someone on appreciating the niceties in life, perhaps it would do u more good if u understood the morals in life first.

u have obviously missed the point 2 begin with. frankly, i can't be bothered to discuss at length on the topic of analogies and contextual wat nots with someone who either has a low threshold for factual criticisms or an incapacity to eat humble pie for a misconstrued query on one's personal integrity as a car enthusiast, exercised in the light of a mind so tainted in biasness.

i dont think one could ever afford a ferrari even if he keeps saving money. the most he can afford a rim or 2 Laughing But i believe that it could be done if u put in alot of effort or becoming a big businessman etc Razz

any car above 700K can never be saved to but that car... u gotta be businessman to buy that kind of car... And i feel there is a hell lot of difference betwn a skyline gtr and a modena... guys if u had the money to own a modena would u buy that over the skyline? i think so. People do pay for the brand.. thats how shallow we humans are and this is what makes marketing works. IMO i had the money to buy Modena, why the hell not? the prancing horse beats the nissan anytime anyday in terms of reputation and status not to mention stock performance as well.

ferrari is hand made.. nearly made to perfection..
cannot compare these 2 cars because its of a different league..
exotic super car vs performance car.. how to compare?
yes la.. humans are shallow.. brand conscious..
$$ = buy some flashy sports car..

ferrari.. not much modifications can be done to it also.. it can be tuned much faster and stuff like that.. but IMHO, a fully tuned/mod ferrari vs a fully tuned/mod GTR.. a GTR will win..

jap cars are so much more lighter and agile too~

however.. if ure comparing a super car like Mac Laren F1.. its a different story lor..

although ferrari and maclaren are classified under exotic super cars.. mac laren is still a notch above in many ways~ Wink
