okay guys what do u think of this new car??? if u compare it to the current contenders like CRV,X-trail,RAV4,forester….In terms of Fuel Economy,power,performance,storage,drivability etc….Going for a test Drive maybe on mon or tuesday….But seen the stats and honestly Kinda turned off but hey as they say u never know until u try….but Just Would like to have a public opnion on this car 1st….

if its for the first.. i guess.. no harm done... second... i think ur current one would serve u better.. unless u have to have room for 7 folks.. family car then.. let them drive too?

no doubt this is a regular toyota with a vvti engine.. but reviews have reported that the FC is quite horrible... becoz its too damn huge/heavy.. i might be wrong but i think it has full time 4wd too.. not too sure..

personally not a big fan of SUVs so.. this is more or less.. uninteresting to me.. but if it serves ur needs.. go ahead gua.. but i think there r other better cars out there that maybe be a better buy.. to me anyway..

VVTI yes but then its 2.7L engine is less powerful than my current 2.5L Shocked and its 500 Kilos heavier.....(around there) and the thign that turns me off y is it at 98k with COE cos it has DRUM BRAKES....For such a big and luxurious and heavy car to have drum brakes is a good recipie for disaster but bo pian....my ride might be going into the scrapyard so my family currently considering this....but will still let u all know abt the test drive

If hit lampost can repair easily ma....the ironic thing is that i I didn't and the bodywork wasnt damaged at all...almost negligible...BUT front left suspension Arm bent,Rear Left Driveshaft Torn out...Rear Axle TORN OUT....rear left suspension wishbone broken....and I didn't hit a lampost...Nope

Crude at US$67 per barrel, chassis of the Hilux truck, 4WD drivetrain(SG all good roads)...

The body chasis platform is based on the Hilux Truck . the engine is used in Prado. Just look at the wide huge wheels …that alone can kill you. Just imagine the power needed to overcome the inertia.

the tyres won't be cheap, you can't change rims readily, as for the brakes, i read from reviews they're mushy.

SUV in SG really useless.. they are wasteful, gas guzzler, dangerous... but if you got money to burn, why not? Mr. Green

well the Hilux is the Invincible....so i can say its pretty sturdy....it can even withstand a 20 storey fall!!! yup...tried and tested on top gear...but then I like 4WD....only prob is the engine which is weak....crap its weaker than a 2.5L engine...brakes....Drum???!!! not somewhere where i want to save $$ on....

not true wad....my current SUV does 9KM/L with 4WD on and with a 2.5L engine...so its not too shabby and its not dangerous....despite having survived such a bad crash my rides chassis suffered negligible damage...just a nick here and there...nothing a norm mechanic cannot fix....only prob is the drivetrain....which costs a BOMB 2 replace...

being dangerous can be a two way thing.. SUVs are dangerous to other road users. SUV has a higher roll-over tendency. 4WD is not bullet-proof. Law of physics is.

If its for the SUV feel and image, I would go for the harrier. The saving in petrol will offset the initial price difference. No third row on harrier, but the fortuner 3rd row sucks .

well…Impressions is that…its a Bus to drive….2ndly..brakes…Not confident at all….worse than my X-trails…even if my X-trails brakes are spongy at least it bites well….this one dosen’t….engine responds well to accelerator unlike my X-trail which is poor cos of the E-throttle….but its weak….car feels kinda sluggish thats all i can say but then the suspension is good…
