Power failure reported in various parts of Singapore
SINGAPORE : Power supply has been fully restored after a 45-minute
blackout hit many parts of Singapore on Thursday afternoon.
The Energy Market Authority said the areas affected included Bukit
Batok, Chua Chu Kang New Town, Crawford, Jalan Eunos, Mandai,
Pandan and SengKang.
It said the power supply was disrupted at 3.55pm due to the
tripping of two power generation plants at the Senoko Power
Station.
It was fully restored by 4.40pm.
Callers to the MediaCorp News hotline said traffic lights in the
areas were also affected. - CNA /ls
