NDP 07 will be the very first National Day Parade ever to
be held at Marina Bay. Situated right by scenic Marina Bay and the
Esplanade and amidst the iconic backdrop of the city skyline, NDP
'07 will be held on a specially designed Floating Platform that is
currently in the midst of construction. NDP '07 is the event all
Singaporeans have been dreaming about since our Minister Mentor,
Mr. Lee Kuan Yew shared his vision for the Singapore River in
1987.
"We can walk along the river sides and fish or boat, ski and swim,
all unthinkable only a few years ago. It is an achievement many
societies only dreamt of, but only few succeed."
NDP is also the most well attended event in Singapore. During NDP
07, there will be 27,000 participants at the seating gallery, and
another 100,000 participants along the bay. Based on the viewership
ratings over the past years, the live telecasts attracts an average
of 2 million viewers each year. This year, viewership is expected
to increase as NDP 07 promises to be much more exciting and
spectacular. The parade will be broadcast live on the main
television channels as well as the Internet, which will bring NDP
'07 to millions of Singaporeans all over the world. As a partner of

Floating platform? I wonder how long will that take to complete;
bearing in mind the length of time the participants will take to
practice.
