TehJarVu SG

http://home.singtel.com/consumer/products/mobile/price_plans/overview_overview.asp

the thing is, if ourdoor wireless is 10 overbucks, unlimited and can be used for phone

then sign up for outdoor wireless is much more better than using GPRS right?

definitely cheaper mah

FireIce SG

GPRS is for fones with no built-in wifi function

outdoor wireless surf is for fones tt support wifi
if u no sign up for outdoor wireless surf even though u have a wifi-enabled fone, u can use GPRS loh..........

by the way, outdoor wireless surf is from internet service provider
GPRS is from ur mobile service provider

ggggrrrr.........................

if u are unsure, pls do not attempt to subscribe to watever services for u to surf net in bus/taxi

TehJarVu SG

LinYu SG

Laughing

TehJarVu SG

wah i just checked i-weekly

they put DCJ for today leh!!! no put golden horse...

TehJarVu SG

Sad

*shattered hope*

that means GPRS is for everywhere and anywhere like bus/taxi? die die must have GPRS then?

BillyBong SG

Ironic right? They offer wireless surfing at so many places, then put up a sign asking patrons to limit surfing to 30 min (most likely to avoid hogging of seats)....

Duh!

FireIce SG

GPRS and vodafone device

u can pray [email protected] is going to be available in trains/buses/cabs, even every private car!!!

^tamago^ SG

iLurk FTW!!!

iLurks works mainly by using 3G since Wi-Fi is not available everywhere. Images are disabled so it's cheaper, but u dun see smileys.

[email protected] and any outdoor wireless plan (except M1 3G broadband) works with Wi-Fi/WLAN, so u simply need any device that comes with Wi-Fi.

If your phone has WiFi, u can use it to surf via WiFi or 3G. The phone will ask you which connection to use before it connects.

Mr. Green

^tamago^ SG

i can understand why it's difficult to explain technology to old man. Sad

anyway there are data plan add-ons where u pay an additional amt for bundled data usage. mine is ard $25.
