Phoebie SG icic many years ago the area I heard, is the area in front of the bus stop (opposite Blk 8 ), where many people choose not to use the traffic light further down the road, instead, they dash (towards the opposite row of two storey shophouses of Blk 8 ) in the cross junction. And if caught will be fined $50
mistyblue SG I should take down the TP number next time. What they do at that junction is causing danger to public. Public dash forward and dash back. Defeats the purpose of SAFETY someone in this post touted!!!
mistyblue SG Next time I just hop into taxi. At least I am not paying to the govt. I rather pay taxi to get me to Jurong East.
autumncs SG Why not build an overhead bridge and end the stupid problem? Jalan Eunos is forever jammed and that particular junction is always a bottleneck (for both motorists and pedestrians)
Chelzea SG Jaywalking need not be dangerous in some circumstances There are certainly too much rules and regulations in singapore.no wonder we are still a nanny state after 'world class education'
mistyblue SG exactly!!! I told the TP in his face, look that place need a pedestrian crossing. Its just plain stupid to have 3 TPs waiting to nab us in the name of "public safety". A pedestrian crossing or a overhead bridge would solve the stupid problem. So to me, all these civil servants are only there for the salary and iron rice bowl. Its still iron rice bowl no matter how the government put it.
sinicker SG wah there also they catch. because bus services 60, 61, 93, 94 make one big round to the interchange mah. so might as well jaywalk there. faster anyway. yeah, they need to find 154,548,918 more traffic offenders for the bonus mah.
autumncs SG So they purposely don't build a bridge so that they can continue fining people? In that case, why don't the TP monitor the junction of Stamford Road and North Bridge Road? MANY PEOPLE jaywalk across the road between the City Hall MRT exit and Capitol Building throughout the whole day... In fact, so many people jaywalk across this road that 10 policemen are also not enough to catch everyone...
mistyblue SG its entrapment, purposely set a trap and lead you in ... At that area, it wold look bad to fine tourist mah.
fallen_souL SG so how much does the garment collect in fines per yr? and seriously where the money goes to?
kingofbeholder SG where to money goes to? you not pro enough to understand when they throw you the 'book'!
