It is like that. Even if you go to Malaysia or Thailand, Road
Tax and insurance you cannot escape.
Motor Insurance premium (paid yearly) is dependant on:
- which company you go for
- what they cover you
- your age and driving experience
- Car make and model
- Category of car (Sports, MPV, Saloon, SUV etc)
- No of airbags (maybe)
- Engine Capacity (CC)
- No Claim Discount (NCD)
- Age of car
- Claims history
- Comprehensive coverage or 3rd party fire and theft (this is
only for paid up car, ie. car fully paid for).
It all depends, but ranges from about $600 - $6000.
Road Tax (paid half yearly or yearly), is dependant on engine
capacity and age of car.
For petrol cars,
a typical 1.6 litre car road tax about 760 per year.
a typical 2.0 litre car road tax about 1210 per year.
For Diesel cars only (not inclusive of commercial vehicles such
as lorries, vans),
road tax is (original road tax for specified engine capacity) +
(diesel tax of 1.5 times egine capacity).
lets say 1.6 litre diesel car, road tax is 760 + (1.25*1600) =
$2760 (indicative figures)
2 litre diesel car, road tax is 1210 + (1.25*2000) = $3710
(indicative figures)
OK ok me start to blur. haha sorry ar..
First: So base on just the insurance, likely how much? Pay monthly,
yearly or half a year?
Second: 1.6litres and 2.0litres car, what difference?
Third: Diesel cars and normal pertol cars, what difference also?
Normally when i go those petrol station, i find that diesel fuel is
cheaper than those 95 and 98. Why is that so?
Fourth: Fuel 95 and 98, what's the difference?
So sorry to trouble you! So many at one times. I did my research on
google before, but don't know why all the information link me to
