I remember reading about an excercise somewhere that pitted old
obsolete fighters with new ones and te old planes scored alarming
number of victories against the new ones. Apparently, the slower
speed meant more manueverability.
Can't remember the name of the aircraft types or the country where
it happened. Getting old myself.
Also, in India they still find the MiG-21 a formidable fighter
against he F-16 because it is such an agile aircraft in the hands
of competent pilots.
So, yah, whether it is a football game, business pitch or war -
never underestimate the opposition.
