FireIce SG not necessary sometimes u have to say some things in this way to avoid some things loh jus playing with words lah
SumOne SG That's usually what is said by some people. People who shoot their mouth off without considering over what they say. And after mouthing off, give the excuse that their just being honest. When they're just mouthing off on instinct, which may not really be truth.
The return SG Using words that are pleasant to others to gain favour in their eyes or to create harmony? Of course still have other examples but can't think of it now.
laurence82 SG it depends on ur values bah some are dogmatic about it, no means no include no lying, no flattery some others, view them as neccessary, to create peace, to get out of trouble so, in the end, it depends on individual values
mayday80 SG for example if someone is fat… is it hypocrite to say the person is big? or is it honest to say he/she is fat?
laurence82 SG urm, some might be just big boned sekarli u want to be honest, say he fat, but he really big boned....
DriftingGuy SG Commenting that she/he has big bones while pointing at thunder thighs/beer belly… hmmm
blu_sky SG you need not be hypocrite yet be frank, if you bother to put in some effort to soften the words. EG my sis-in-law asked me if she is fat, i told her she will look prettier in her clothes if she lose some weight. methink that was frankness cos i wanna her to look better yet i tried not to outrightly hurt her to say that she is fat.
DriftingGuy SG Hmm think theres a difference between getting a guy's frank opinion and a girl's frank opinion right? I think for the guy theres no correct answer
