can the EC 120 be armed? from the official website provided by pitot, it doesn’t say so anywhere..

I don't disagree with you that it's not cost effective. But the Apaches are generally tasked to do all these jobs of wiping out tanks, IFVs and also infantry troops. If it's cost effective to be in charge of only tanks and IFVs, then why are they armed with rockets and machine guns.

If mindef are really for really cost-effective heli, then they should continue using AS-550 fennec, whereby they can carry heavier load compared to EC-120.

I think the EC120 due to it's lightweight more suited to reconfigure for recon and intel missions, rescue, training.

But I think is possible if they customize it instead of 5 seats to say 2 seats they could add mebbe a gun/grenade launcher pod to make it a light gunship for suport roles

Well they are generally tasked to do anything however i think it's ranked pretty damn low on their to do list. Guess for them it's a matter of better have it and not need it then need it and not have it.

As for replacing the AS-550 with EC120 well dont look at me haha i dont know Razz

AH-1 should be the best replacement for the expensive apaches , south african rooivalk should be cool
