Many European nations adopt a 20 km/h speed limit in residental areas and around schools. Singapore should adopt that for the safety of our children, around school compounds.

dun even haf to adopt

during peak hours..u see parents' car park all along the roadside..and so many kids walking ard..speed limit automatically limit to 10 kmh liao..if the road is wide..maybe 20kmh la..and if the road is really really wide..den limit speed for wad..there'll be overhead bridges or traffic lights ard..dat shd suffice

My work area limits the speed limit of all vehicles to 20km/h, it is really slow.

nver be complacent, look at the high rate of accidents everyday

to cut down accidents, we must try all ways to

impose speed limiter
implement speed limiter device
sentence tailgater to death etc

if you ever realise not only speed kills..hogging kills too..not to worry..it'll be made known to you soon..

Look at SAF rovers and toners on the expressways..limited to 50kmh and although they keep to left lane religiously..it can still pose a danger to others sometimes

The country Im in impose a 30km speed limit around school zones n 40km for residential. One time I went for the license..pratical test and when I entered a school zone, I auto slow down around 40km. But the marker complained I was too slow. I said its a school zone n he shouted "School is frm 9am-10am, 11am-12pm and 1pm-3pm"...that time it was 10.30am wen doin the test..I mean..knn..wat if a kid suddenly ran out...or having physical education class n run out get a ball or wat.. so I think having speed limit is sometimes just for show..no one will obey it with this kind of attitude. Bro I HAVE to Applaud u on that Since I myself Am also a SAF driver...Speed is only one factor...Main thing is Skill,judgement...even with 50km/h u still get accidents if u are not careful....and we dun mean 2 pose a danger 2 others as u know civilian Cars never give way to SAF vehs most of the time....Its the Driver...not the speed that Kills....and remember...accidents most of the time are caused by 2 parties...unless u crash into a stationary object
