Iraq fired Scuds into Israel not due to the fact of gettin a reaction from Israel.But to attempt to break the alliance of the arab nations with the Western Coalition. As once Israel joins in the fray, the arab nations will pull out from the contributions to the western alliance,in particular the US.

It's all politics. Ahmadinejad is diverting attention away from his country's woes. Faced with economic poverty, he is simply touching the hearts of the masses by 'uniting' them in a common direction: the misguided threat of the zionist state.

This is a common ploy. Even Malaysia practices it nearer to their elections. We call it Singapore bashing....

Ahmadinejad is not experienced enough nor intelligent enough to deliver his country out of the doldrums. He is merely using Israel as a convenient distraction.

There was a coalition of Islam countries(Egypt and some other countries) once tried to attack Israel but lost. Iran trying to tackle Israel alone is asking for death, and giving US an excuse to attack them

Abbas cannot control the militant groups and refuses to confront them, Israel continues with their targeted assassination policy, US is just a backstage presence, even Egypt and Jordan have been roundly criticised by muslim nations for recognising Israel.

Short of HAMAS/FATAH/ISLAMIC JIHAD calling for all out war, (jihad has already vowed not to recognise the zionist state and HAMAS is not far behind) what will it take to prove that the situation is already untenable?

Hmmm... lets see, to put it in short.

Iran wants nuclear reactors. Say they have peaceful uses for nuclear reactors.

Iran students protests they too have rights to nuclear WEAPONs.

Iran makes comment in UN saying that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth.

Given the last point, I would think they would come under pressure to open up their country for nuclear inspections. Their students will start protesting in the streets, demanding to kick their foreigners out.

And back to their fart in UN, I believe the Iranian president kinda made that comment in order to "appease" his country. If he appears weak and bows under international pressure, who knows what will happen. Political stability comes first.
