Clicking when turning? A vast majority of the time it's due to a
worn constant velocity (CV) joint, especially in FWD cars. It's not
the drive shaft in itself, but the joint between the drive shaft
and the wheel rotor.
However, if you're saying that it's coming from the back, it could
be that the wheel bearings are on their way out. However, the most
common indicator of a worn wheel bearing is a scraping sound, and
in later stages, a rumbling - try driving with the windows down and
see if you can hear this when you're going in a straight line. If
you do hear the scraping sound and it stops as you begin to apply
the brakes, it's most likely the bearing.
If it is a worn bearing, make sure you change it ASAP - the last
thing you want is for it to let go completely while you're on the
expressway - not only does it jerk the car around and make it
uncontrollable, the heat from the friction will also boil your
brake fluid and make it useless.
