Our common Singapore heritage is a mix, definitely not
Chinese.
Our heritage is that of a English-run port city with a majority
Chinese population in the Malay Archipelago.
If you want to call it, call it a Straits Republic. As much as you
would not like the Anglicising of Singapore, neither do I want to
see the Sinicisation of Singapore.
