On closed hatches and urban warfare, the endless dilemma,
situational awareness or protection.
That transparent small arms fire resistant shield seems like a good
balance. But it is damn tempting to fire at the person in the
turrent if you can see him. I wonder how much that shield can
afford protection in a sustained conflict. Some closed hatch
overhead weapons cannot be avoided.
Black Hawk Down has an indelible impression on me. Whenever I think
of urban warfare, I think of that awesome film.
