>>same reason why we cant touch pigs.
>>i, as a malay, know a lot about chinese culture. as the
matter of fact, im one of the very few malay ppl in my school that
can speak fluent english. other dont seem interestd to know about
chinese.
Good on you, my friend.
I have a few Malay friends and they are nice normal family folks. I
also like Malay food and make it a point to pop by JB every week to
whack the Nasi Ayam and mee rubus. Cheap and damn nice.
But the small point you made regarding knowing a lot about Chinese
culture and the next sentence you said you can speak fluent
English...doesn't jive, leh. I would have thought you ought to say
you can speak fluent Chinese..
But the above is a valid point because I ever met a Mak Chik in JB
who runs the Malay stall opposite the one I used to frequent...my
balls drop one day when I heard someone speaking fluent Hokkien and
Cantonese to me behind my back. She was asking whether I need any
drinks...when I turn around, wahaha, it was Mak Chik speaking. Her
pronunciation was a spotless, juz like a Chinese old lady speaking
dialect in Chinatown.
So the point I am making is, if Mak Chik can do it, so can you..

My Malay is juz a couple of words to get by when I go to
JB..
