Trust me, when an f-5 flies over ur house, u can ignore it. When f-16 flies over my place, my middle finger goes up. =D

Haiz…..If only we have the knowledge and capability to modify our F-5’s not only in term of avionics and flight system but airframe and powerplant…..i wouldn’t mind being part of that team.hopefully we are moving towards that

Wait till you hear the sound of those F-15 engines. One thing to describe it -POWER. I experienced it during my OI days, A-4s & F-5s you will not bothered to look into the sky. F-18s, you will curse it when they flew over during lectures, but F-15s, you will stop and look.

Anyone feels that we should have ordered F/A-18E/F Super Hornets instead?
It is after all a generation ahead of design compared to the F-15 and is a type that will serve for a long time still with the US Navy. It is in fact intended to work in tandem with the F-35B JSF.

F15 despite is considerably older than F18, but F15 strike eagle is still the mainstay for the USAF for at least another 1 or 2 decades. We can expect the F15 to exceed the F18 in almost aspects. Pls note that only KEY US Allies operate F15. The technologies behind the F15 is the top notch, it is something that not money can buy one...it depends if Uncle Sam trust u or not Smile

I've heard the F-15E's roar overhead before. 2 years ago to be exact.

Perhaps it was some exercise or something. I was on my way to the airport when i saw this. 2 Strike Eagles. Low altitude, FAST. One peeled off gently, 1 or 2 gs perhaps. Lead eagle carried on, later pulled up, estimated about 4-5 gs perhaps? Previous eagle seemed to carry on in a designator turn, while the attacking eagle half cut back the opposite direction it was heading.

I assume the lead was dropping the LGB, while his wingman was designating the target.

Fantastic stuff, wished i recorded it tho. And this all happened in Singapore.

Yep, I watched the F-15s every single day streak to the top from PLAB. No other aircraft I watched from my home could ever climb almost vertical save F-16s. In fact, after the F-15s have flown off, and the F-5s follow, the F-5s seem lousy in comparison. Laughing Sure the F-15s fly slower bcos of the loud sound they create....but the sound is POWER. You can still hear it from far. In fact the engines seem to be growling for more speed.
