I don't believe anyone would install mid-bass on its own.
Usually it will be coupled with a tweeter. Then with a stable
frequency filter, you will play the highs on the tweets, the normal
and lows on the mids. Reason is you will get clarity on both ends
because you are driving the sound from different speakers.
