Then its a threat. Why should I work for a company when they
treat me like a prisoner. We always have a choice. My policy is
never to work for a boss who thinks he owns me like a slave and
thinks developing country pay is what I should expect. Fire me at
all cost. I do my work and contribute my share and manage lots of
things for my boss. I am not the eat snake person and backstab
people. If the bosses thinks I am not pulling my weight around,
then it is their job to highlight the issue to me. And if they fire
me cause they feel after work hours is still company time, then I
will share with my friends the kind of environment this boss
created. Its really up to the employee if they got guts or
not.
I used to work for a boss like this. He would scold us and put us
down all the time. He was so loud and so harsh to us even when we
worked hard and he was promoted 2 times over 2 years in Civil
service. The whole bunch of us had balls and all left the place in
6 months one after another. The rest who join later, just say they
rather put up with the abuse than take action to take care of
themselves.
