High FC.Need Help!

Hi Guys,Need your help on how to improve on my Nissan Sunny FC.I bought an auto,and i clock only 7km/l.Very high for new car.Did feedback to SE and went for car checkup,confirm that no petrol leakage.Driving isn't too fast either.So need your help,on how to improve.

Remove the spare tyre, backseats, and all unnecessary weight. At the front, seal all visible gaps to streamline its shape. Don't wind down your windows. Don't switch on your air-conditioning. Laughing

check fuel/air mixture...

if can't work change car....

How did you guage that it was 7km/h??
(You will need to moniter for a period of time)
In additional, take account of the structure of your fuel tank.

Ya, do explain you calculation method and how long you monitor it. Usually have to wait until after run-in (5000km) and change to full-syn engine oil, then the FC will improve. 7kpl for a sunny auto…...looks fine to me. Was guessing that it would be around 9-10kpl at most.

yuP. Initally i also had this problem.Exactly the same one when my fc was horrendously low. I seeked help here and from my relatives. They told me the same thing too and wait until the mileage becomes 2000 onwards and the efficiency becomes much better. Also, do change the engine oil to synthetic oil. It helps. Currently my Fc is between 10-11km/l.

This is the sunny problem.. my sister also face the same problem.. she send the car back to agent for the 1st service.. complain as hell.. the did some things to the car.. less power after that, but drink less also.. you may want to try this.

i check with my regular workshop.. they say all sunny drinks (like crazy).

Less power, less drinking? What they do? Clogged the fuel injection lines? Made only 2 cyclinders run? Laughing

Maybe do something to the fuel/air ratio in the ECU. Lower the ratio of fuel vs air, then will reduce the fuel consumption. Maybe loosen the gas wire while they are at it.
