Apart from intellectual capacity, when it comes to choice, I
think genes play a part. I sometimes read that twins will make the
same choices and end up doing the same things even when they are
separated since kids. Something like, our decision making process
and personal tendencies, are coming from genes. So to expand on
this theory, I believe academic ability is genetically influenced
by genes, not only in intellectual capacity but also choices and
efforts.
