my boss already said, he wished everyone under him can get
higher position and he would tried his best to make it happen...
but a few weeks ago, i applied one higher position under another
manager, that manager is also interested to me and chit chat with
me, but after talking with my boss, that manager never talked to me
about that position again... 
from your experiences, any idea about it? i am really surprised and
disappointed to see this happen...
