Need help identifiying SAF helicopter A UH-60 Black Hawk?

Texcoco II SG

Pics taken from a friend's friendster a/c of mine....just wondering, the fist pic obviously show a Black Hawk, with what was like SAF troops (?) boarding into it. Since I have send a email to him regarding the picture I still yet to receive his reply so meanwhile I just post the pic here if the Black Hawk belongs to the SAF?

LazerLordz SG

Might that be in Brunei? Because the RBAF has Blackhawks..

Shotgun SG

Wah so fun…. I also want to join them.

Manager433 SG

RBAF using Uh-60s? SAF troopers onli air dropfrom their own helos….....

sbst275 SG

Yeap

So either those running troopers are Bruneian or they were just using them as transport, not rappelling.

kotay SG

Not true. I've dropped (literally) from RTAF helos when I was in Crescendo. It was quite an experience.

we bought sea hawks right???

Seahawks not delivered yet lar. Just ordered not long ago. Besides, odds are they will be painted in another colour besides green with grey being a good bet.

Prob some joint training exercise. Or evaluation?

I wonder if the sg seahawks will be fitted with dipping sonars? and also sonarbouys launchers. Will they be fitted with torp launchers or maybe penguins ASM mounts.

spencer99 SG

The Seahawks quite easily distinguished from Blackhawks.....

that is definitely a UH60 Blackhawks.

The helmet, camo of the troopers does look like sg troops.

However, one thing to note, the group photo shows the sg troops carrying SAR21. but if u look at the pic with the heli, the troops are not carrying bullpup rifiles, it look more like a M-16.

Either not taken at the same time or Bruneian troops,

further more:

"naked" helmuts too .... i thought infantrymen from the SIRs usually have "char kuay teow" attached to their helmuts ? ...

the bruneians use plain naked ones ... looks like it's them ...

ah san SG

Dun noe abt system now but during my time the chopper pilot will request for all helmets to be naked before boarding the chopper Rolling Eyes

Fatum SG

oh ?! .... thanks for the info .... i never knew that .... never had any char kuay teow on my helmut before ... Smile

It should be either one. As for weapons...well, an ASW chopper without torpedo carrying/launching facility is as good as useless isn't it?
