RSAF Detachment Commander of Peace Prairie, Lieutenant-Colonel
Kevin Rodrigues, said his men were in high spirits and remained
focused in their mission.
He explained how their responsibilities had evolved since the start
of their mission.
Lt-Col Rodrigues said: "In the beginning, when we first got here,
the relief efforts was focused on relocating evacuees mainly from
two locations which was the Super Dome and Convention Centre.
"When that was done, we shifted our mission to operations
and moving sand bags to block up the levees that have
broken and in between that, we are still doing evacuations, mainly
the stragglers that are still coming in and being picked up around
New Orleans." - CNA/de
