Root of all evil....

the music makers, singers, companies.

2nd root of all evil,

Al Gore, "inventor" of internet

3rd root of evil,

Microsoft, and other OS makers.

4th root of evil,

ISPs

without these 4, this illegal downloading will not have happened.

hisoka SG

so, who invented music? root of all evil god, if you believe in god Twisted Evil

ndmmxiaomayi SG

Make sure it turns into gas also. The only way that makes it impossible to collect back ANYTHING.

An aquaintance of mine let on that the police have been watching the Top 100 down/uploaders in the country. These are the sorts of ppl who are likely to leave their computers overnight almost everyday.. and download + upload huge amounts of data via the net.

thelesis SG

The problem is that do you have the time to find that [email protected] hammer? hahaha Laughing

thelesis SG

Question that pop out... How do RIAS know someone has infringed the intellectual property law at the first place? Which means they also able to track us down even the ISP provider doesn't release the information to them??

dragg SG

they attached something to a song. when you dowload the song they get a signal. they traced the signal to your computer. with a court order the ISP provider will release your information to them.

this is singapore, not U.S.A. the ISP providers wont and cant protect you.

ceecookie SG

the police will close one eye for this,as with the purchases of pirated DVDs across the Causeway.....the arrests were only for - like someone said b4 - big fishes and not personal users...

after all $50'll do the trick if anything go wrong Laughing

Ponders SG

Yes. Currently got no law for them to arrest you based on the fact you brought in DVD for personal use.

BUT they will charge you for failing to declare movies which requires censorship.

ceecookie SG

the chance is remote though..but will increase during certain periods when there's impt events in sg

_n00b_ SG

i remembered when i was young…everyone was being taught to not be selfish but to share with with others what they have…

dragg SG

the music industry do not believe in sharing....

Mr. Green

mochou SG

Yes, the music industry is a commercial thing, they want to earn money.
They spend so much to promote a singer to be famous, they want to get more money back thur the singer and from the public.
if the public "share" the music like no tomolo, they sure gonna be not happy with it.
