The TYS is a very valuable aid so use it. There are different
strategies for different subjects, but memorizing alone is not very
helpful. Try understanding topics fully (not a sketchy
understanding) to help you memorize effectively.
For instance, in biology, what are the adaptations of red blood
cells?
You can straight-forwardly remember that said cells are biconcave,
have no nuclei and are flattened and elastic.
Or you can recall their roles as effective oxygen transporters
(around the circulatory system, which includes small and intricate
capillaries), and thus try to figure out how exactly the structure
should be like in order to fulfil that function. As a general rule,
structure gives rise to function (in biology) while structure gives
rise to properties (in chemistry).
Study smarter and you will excel.
