For example, a 6 days job working hours is like 7 hours 20 mins
excluding one hour's break time per day (6days a week thus making
it 44 hours per week), whereas a 5 days job can be from 9am to
6:30pm and beyond (more than 8 hours 30 mins if excluding the one
hour's lunch time).
So if the two types of working days' total weekly hours were to be
calculated and compared, it's actually around the same, that's what
we termed as la chang bu duan in chinese
