This is a thread inspired by the discussion "What are the
possible weaknesses of our army?" and attempts to discuss the
positive and negative qualities of our SAF.
It has been said by many older generation NSFs and NSmen including
regulars that the quality of our fighting men has been dropping
with each era,and these comments made can reduce confidence in
younger generation NSFs that they are not as capable as their
predecessors,as it can be seen as anecdotal evidence of the
weakening of a decline.
Whether it is true or not is another matter.
Army-older generation keeps on proclaiming that quality of current
generation troops decreasing,especially BMT.True or not?
Navy-home of the legendary NDU and use of some of the advanced
technologies used in Singapore.Has Navy quality dropped or
decreased with time?
Air Force-The first ones to respond.I don't think it can be
disputed that our Air Force is subpar.
