I know, if this pricing is implemented, maybe it will cause
gastric problems for people who eat later, or work disruptions/
study disruptions for people who commute later.
But isnt it a little wierd?
If you look at canteens at lunch hour....wa.....sometimes people
have to queue so long just to order food. But at 3pm or 4pm, it is
so deserted anybody can just plonk down. So empty.
You will see rows of empty tables. Meanwhile at peak period, you
see rows of people queueing.
Maybe, if demand cannot be controlled for canteens and public
transports,
then maybe the underutilization period can be used for something
else, to bring up the usage level.
For instance,
A canteen after 2pm, half of the canteen is converted
into....perhaps a children playground.
Foldable chairs and tables should be used for this.
Then the space, the air-con, etc, is still used for something, and
there is usage and income.
MRT, buses, well perhaps one carriage section is converted
into....a retail shop. Just a small one, like those with movable
tents.
