12. Electronic Warfare protects our aircraft, ships and fighting
vehicles from in-coming threats such as missiles by building an
electronic shield around them. The shield denies enemy sensors and
communications from performing their intended functions by
frustrating, deceiving or jamming them. This is known, in
Electronic Warfare jargon, as electronic countermeasures or ECM

2.Have u noticed we have many projects with our foreign ferns,but
not EW.
It is a black art u cannot share with ur ferns.Minister Teo said
when even he was a captain of a RSN ship,he was not allowed enter
into a locked room of equipments,may be EW stuffs!

3.EW is very cost effective in attack and defense.The 3 men
ETC,Electronic Testing Center,was established in 1972 and now
called DSO.All works have
been and still are considered 'secret'.The first project is in
EW.Why?
The 1967 Arab--Israel war gave a verd good lesson.They saw the
vital role precision guided played in warfare.Small Egytian patrol
boats were able to sink the larger Israel destoryer,the Elath,with
Styx radar--guided anti--ship missiles.
Now u know why our RSN are equipped with weapons which u usually
find in
larger naval ships in other countries.
