i was talking about the tested but failed Taepodong 2, the only ICBM in the DPRK's inventory capable of reaching US soil.

therefore, the capability of the ICBM is dubious, at best.

u r implying that the Patriot is an unreliable weapons system just because of one allied aircraft that was shot down. if u havent realised already, US troops always commit fratricide. Laughing

with the same logic applied to every weapons system, the M16A1, M4A1, Fragmentation grenade, and everything that can kill another friendly soldier is an unreliable weapon, therefore every weapon is unreliable.

Erm, seemingly the Taepodong 2 only has range to reach Alaska. So if DPRK incinerates the backyard of US, US might just exterminate all of them using something like, two Tridents?

If they shoot Seoul, then they need a fast invasion to South Korea, which their military can, but a long drawn out war if US and Coalition friends decide to come in via, let's say, Pusan. They don't have even enough time to get uranium and other recipes of mass destruction to send to those Coalition people, and by then DPRK will be history.
If they shoot Tokyo, the next day the short-and-derangled man will wake up in heaven, no way US will not do anything.
So, its just dreams that they can have the bomb, its just the technology and face they want to have.

Its a good contraption, by the way, at most it will launch and fall back on the ground, incinerating the cameras on the pad and near the pad, and maybe some parts of the control buildings, at least it will work...

Correct me if I am wrong, but this info is hard to get as we are outside the Hermit Country.
Taepodong 2 have what as guidance system, meaning computers/radar or human calculation?
Something like f(x)=-x^2+3x+5?
Or computer, which is quite unlikely, as they don't have a satellite also...
So if short-and-derangled man-with-an-unfinished-dream saw my equation, don't use it tomorrow or any day to launch your missile.
