Satellite killing satellites....what's wrong with that? Mr. Green

SMAPLionHeart SG

Ey, singapore was already build a tv-guided bomb in the 80's...
if 20 years ago , can build a tv-guided bomb or something ..
i dare not imagine what they are building now...

Land based cruise missiles could be a possibility....

SMAPLionHeart SG

I don't think he really comes from Malaysia ...Malaysians are too smart ..
this guy is like posting without thinking..

Anyway, those malaysians are smart...when clashes over the oil disputed area.. they dared to use your ship to "knock" side by side with an ancient indonesian warship..

When an RSN naval PV , a few years back, was at the waters around Pedra Branca there,It was reported that the malaysian warship didn't even dare to come close, only within sight of the RSN vessel..

If we were to put our new frigate there................they would pee inside their pants and order a u-turn..

Your fingers going to get burned badly.... 90km radius of destruction with sea-launched Harpoon... with plenty of Fokker-50 carrying air launched harpoons..

20 NGF based in Thailand, some aircraft in USA , another few in Singapore..

idwar SG

The topic here is GPS, not Pulau Batu Putih.......anyway, to rebut your point, may I ask whether your Harpoons are tested and tried in any conflict zone? None!

At least the Exocets of the boleh-land are tested and proven deadly with several HMS ships at the bottom of Falkland Sound..... courtesy of Argentina..

SMAPLionHeart SG

Don't be stupid, if ICBM is not tested on any country, that means our ICBM doesn't work??

What kind of logic is that ???

You really want us to test it on you..then we'll tell you whether it works or not ?

SMAPLionHeart SG

Do you know what is called a live-firing exercise?
Or have you been to a live-firing exercise??

Anyway, even though proven , Exocet has been around since 1967..
maximum combat range is 65km , Harpoon is 90km.. that means if going by calculations, we got extra 25 km to manoevure..

Anyway, taken from Wiki..

"
The Exocet is currently in service with France, Germany, Greece, Pakistan, Abu Dhabi, Argentina, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Brazil, Oman, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Qatar and Peru. It also served with the Royal Navy until the last Exocet armed surface vessel was decommissioned in 2002.

With a GPS, I can pinpoint your location, which by the way is accurate to a few meters, and head over there to bitch slap you back to Bangkok. Mr. Green

Anti-Satellite weapons do not require Star Wars type technology. In fact, such weapons have been around since the 1970s.

Most of these technologies centered around Anti-Satellite (ASAT) Missiles launched from specially rewired fighters such as the F-15 Eagle. However, the former Soviet Union actually studied the possibility of Satellites killing Satellites, they called these Fighter Satellites.

Suffice to say, there are no real technological barriers to producing an ASAT system considering that such systems were originally produced using 1970s computer technology, flight systems and avionics.

Your wish may soon come true, go to mindef website, there is a few video there that talk about the future, one of them show the future warfare, which one show the future of war - which show various weapon drawing to show how things work together, one show remote drones, satetilles, and our new frigates providing air defense, also on land there is a missile launcher track that is defencing that sure look like patriot.
