When Bradley was first deploy, the jokers who were in-charge of
the production were cheating the Pentagon by using lighter armour
& cheaper parts for the engine, etc. The design fault is that
the space where the troops are meant to sit did not include room
for the troops' backpacks & extra equipement, so it was like
sitting in a cramp loo. 
The cheating case was expose & the Bradley was refitted with
better armour with added fire power such as the dragon missile
system, etc. However, better armour & fire power means more
weight on the vehicle which means more stress on the engine. The
design for the troop compartment remained unchanged instead it got
more crampy.
