AF1 SG Presenting sneak peeks of the 2006 Subaru Impreza. It will go on sale in Japan in late 2005, followed by Europe and the Americas in 2006. The model also features an improved version of the drivers control center differential (DCCD), an electronically controlled All Wheel Drive (AWD) system that adds a torque-sensitive, mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD). This particular model is believed to be designed by design guru Andreas Zapatinas, Subaru's new chief of design who is also an ex Alfa Romeo designer. Most eye catching difference would be the new front grilles. It is split into three segments, it forgoes the traditional single piece grille, giving it a somewhat Euro-influenced look.
tomsss SG Just like when Subaru introduced the GDB replacing the aggresive-looking GC8 models, people were initially turned off by it’s round-eyed headlights. I rather prefer the distinctive designs all japanese cars have… that why i choose japanese car over european ones. Alfa Romeo designer? that explains that big centre hole in the grille. Serious that grille just looks… out of place.

ceecookie SG the front is not nice...make the car look long...but perfomance wise it be better...but i go for the Evo 9...not much change to exterior but alot to perfomance....but of course value for money...if the pricing for the new model is same then u choose it if you're a new racer....but if u want a sturdy and good car go for the Evo 9....its up to u how much money u want to spare...... (edited) then i like the new lights but the front grill is not nice....

Anyway... i saw this sometime ago... I think i got it from the official subaru webbie.. Which is newer???Is the wing standard w/ the new model?

tomsss SG If you compare the Alfa Romeo front ends with the new Impreza, you'll know why he designed it in such a way Ex-Alfa Romeo designer... pfft
